The St Andrews Prize for the Environment 2016 saw a high calibre of innovative environmental projects from across the globe. Finalist, LITER OF LIGHT Brazil, wowed the judges with their project, and walked away with the 2016 Prize as a result.

The deadline for submissions for this year’s St Andrews Prize for the Environment is drawing ever closer. We have received a phenomenal response so far, but there is still time to submit your entry for this year. Previous finalists have seen huge success arise out of being shortlisted for the Prize, one in particular being 2016 finalist, the Mamirauá Institute.

Two years ago, Primatologist and Founder of the Wild Chimpanzee Foundation (WCF), Christophe Boesch, presented his multi-level chimpanzee conservation project to the St Andrews Prize judging committee, going on to win the prestigious Prize.

We were delighted to speak to Ani Vallabhaneni recently, co-founder of Sanergy Limited, who were finalists back in 2012. With it being nearly 5 years since they were shortlisted, a lot has changed for the company as they continue to grow and expand their operations.
